Our first dinner together — homemade local food, stories, and a chance to get to know everyone around the table.
21:00 — Sauna & Slow Evening
Your first taste of Estonian sauna culture. No rush, no agenda — just heat, conversation, and the beginning of a very different rhythm of life.

Day 2 — Into the Wild
08:30 — Breakfast
A hearty breakfast before heading out into the winter.

Warm clothes on, equipment ready, and a short introduction to the lake, ice conditions, and the adventure ahead.
10:00 — Snowmobiles & Sleigh Ride Across Lake Peipus
We leave the shore behind and head across the frozen lake by snowmobile and sleigh.
11:00 — Traditional Ice Fishing
Meet local fishermen and discover how people have fished Lake Peipus through the winter for generations.
12:00 — Pulling the Nets
One of the signature experiences of the weekend: helping pull fishing nets from beneath the frozen lake and discovering what the lake has given us that morning.
13:30 — Lunch on the Ice
Warm food, hot drinks, and a well-earned break surrounded by an enormous frozen landscape.
14:30 — Build Our Ice Camp
Together, we create our little base in the middle of the lake — working with our hands, embracing the cold, and settling into life on the ice.
16:00 — Sauna on the Frozen Lake
From the cold straight into the heat. Step inside a steaming sauna standing right on the frozen lake — and, for the brave, cool down outside surrounded by nothing but snow and ice.
18:00 — Return to Vasknarva & Free Time
Warm up, change clothes, rest, or simply do nothing for a while.
19:30 — Homemade Local Dinner
A long dinner built around local ingredients and, whenever nature allows, fresh fish from Lake Peipus.
21:30 — Fire, Drinks & Stories
No formal program. Just good people, drinks, stories, and the kind of conversations that happen after spending a day together on a frozen lake.
Day 3 — One Last Taste of the Edge
09:30 — Slow Breakfast
Wake up without rushing and gather around the table for breakfast.
10:30 — Village & Nature Experience
A relaxed final experience around Vasknarva — exploring the village, the lakefront, and the surroundings while hearing more about local life at the Edge.
12:30 — Closing Lunch / Local Bites
One last taste of Vasknarva before returning to normal life.
14:00 — Check-out & Departure
Forty-three hours after arriving, it is time to leave the Edge behind — usually with a few stories you did not have when you came.
The lake has the final word. Weather, ice, snow, and fishing conditions may change the timing or order of activities. We keep the program flexible so we can follow nature rather than fight it — and often, the unexpected moments become the best ones.
